Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/3 cup honey
– 1 tbsp garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
– 1/4 cup ketchup
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
– 2 tsp cornstarch
– 3 tbsp water
– Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Season Chicken:
– Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and place them in the slow cooker.

2. Prepare Sauce:
– In a bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce over the chicken.

3. Cook:
– Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

4. Thicken Sauce:
– In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir the slurry into the sauce in the slow cooker. Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes to thicken the sauce.

5. Serve:
– Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
