Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
3 tablespoons butter
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
11 ounces Kraft caramels, unwrapped
2 tablespoons milk
Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Directions:
Prepare the Dish:
Prepare a 9×13-inch glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
Make the Marshmallow Mixture:
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and marshmallows. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds, until marshmallows are melted and puffed up; stir until smooth.
Mix with Cereal:
Mix the melted marshmallows with the Rice Krispies cereal in a large bowl. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared dish.
Prepare the Caramel Sauce:
In a medium microwave-safe bowl, mix the caramels and milk. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 20 seconds. Stir until completely smooth, heating in 10-second increments if needed.
Assemble the Treats:
Pour the caramel sauce over the Rice Krispies treats. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Allow to set at room temperature for 15 minutes, then cut into 16 bars and serve.
