Homemade Chicken Luncheon Meat

Ingredients

500g ground chicken (or chicken breast, finely minced)
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 egg
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 small onion (minced)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp evaporated milk
1 tbsp oil

Procedure:

In a bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, cornstarch, and evaporated milk.
Add garlic, onion, soy sauce, salt, sugar, pepper, and oil.
Mix well until smooth and sticky (parang meatloaf texture).
Prepare a container or llanera (pwede ring microwavable container), grease lightly with oil.
Transfer the mixture and flatten evenly.
Cover with foil.
Steam for 45–60 minutes hanggang fully cooked.
Let it cool completely bago tanggalin sa mold.
Slice into desired shapes.
Optional: Fry lightly until golden brown bago ihain.
