Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 20-25 minutes
Total time: 40 minutes
Yields: 4-6 servings
Ingredients
The Base & Filling:
Pizza Dough: 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (e.g., Pillsbury Classic Crust)
Cheese: 8 slices Provolone cheese
Ham: 8 slices deli ham
Salami: 10 slices Genoa salami
Pepperoni: 12 slices pepperoni
The Garlic Butter Glaze & Topping:
Butter: 2 tablespoons melted butter
Garlic: 1-2 cloves garlic, finely minced
Parsley: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Grated Cheese: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
For Serving:
Marinara Sauce: 1 cup warm pizza or marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
Step 1: Prep and Roll Out the Dough
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet, gently pressing and stretching it out into a large, even rectangle.
Step 2: Layer the Filling
The Cheese: Arrange the 8 slices of provolone cheese evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border along the edges.
The Meats: Layer the deli ham slices over the cheese. Next, add an even layer of Genoa salami, and finally, top it off with the pepperoni slices.
Step 3: Roll and Slit
Starting from one of the long sides, carefully and tightly roll the dough up into a log shape (like a jelly roll), keeping the fillings tucked in.
Pinch the final seam and the ends tightly to seal the dough so the cheese doesn’t leak out during baking. Turn the roll so it sits seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Using a sharp knife, cut diagonal slits across the top of the dough (about 1–2 inches apart). This allows steam to escape while baking.
Step 4: Glaze and Bake
In a small bowl, mix the 2 tablespoons of melted butter with the minced garlic and a pinch of chopped parsley.
Use a pastry brush to generously coat the entire top and sides of the Stromboli with the garlic butter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is deeply golden-brown and crisp.
Step 5: Garnish, Slice, and Serve
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the top with the grated Parmesan cheese and the remaining fresh parsley.
Let it rest for 5 minutes so the melted cheese can set slightly, making it easier to slice.
Slice into thick pieces and serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping!
